Business is Thriving
With lights a blazing and baubles sparkling, the doors opened on Harrogate Christmas & Gift 2015 today and in its 66th year, the show is proving more popular than ever. From the moment the doors opened at 9am this morning, the halls of the Harrogate International Centre were packed with retailers and buyers seeking exciting new products for the coming year.
There is notably great diversity in ranges on display, with the height of new technology in lighting, electrical decorations and accessories; yet well balanced with an array of traditional designs too. Soft home furnishing such as cushions, throws, hugely popular wall plaques and signs, plus floral and fragrant ranges appear to be attracting significant attention from buyers from all sectors; whilst it's great to see the return of the trusty Christmas cracker with a number of suppliers.
Anticipation is buzzing amongst visitors from the garden centre sector as they eagerly await the results of the Greatest Christmas Awards which take place at the Majestic Hotel in Harrogate this evening. Judges having been visiting garden centres across the UK in recent months comparing Christmas displays and services and the very best will be announced tonight.
There's still plenty of time to come along to the show which is open from 9am to 6pm tomorrow and Tuesday and 9am and 4pm on Wednesday.
