Celebrations all round
Garden centres across the UK were celebrating last night as the winners of the Greatest Christmas Awards were announced at an event hosted by Garden Trade News at the Majestic Hotel in Harrogate. Great fun was had by all, with a meal and entertainment provided by an ABBA tribute band, leading to a late night for many and a few sore heads this morning!
During the evening, the directors of Harrogate Christmas & Gift made a presentation to Malcolm Naish of Lema Publishing to mark 50 years of continuous attendance at the show. Warren Cornelius presented Malcolm with an engraved crystal decanter and bottle of vintage port to mark the occasion.
Once again, the halls of the Harrogate International Centre have been buzzing with activity today with buyers from numerous multiple and independent retailers arriving to view new ranges for 2015. According to exhibitors, they are liking what they see and order books are filling fast.
Fortunately, the weather looks set to remain reasonably dry for the next few days, so if you are planning to travel by road or rail you can anticipate a trouble-free journey. The show is open on Tuesday 13th January from 9am until 6pm and on Wednesday 14th from 9am until 4pm.
