How will we use the information about you?

We only process personal information about you where we have a lawful basis to do so. Most of the personal data we process is in order to supply you with our services or receive goods or services from you (where you are a supplier). So our lawful basis is contractual. Where you have been a visitor or exhibitor at our show in the last 4 years we have a legitimate business interest to contact you with further information about future shows and events.

LEGITIMATE BUSINESS INTEREST: Broadly speaking legitimate interest means that we can process your personal information if we have a genuine and legitimate reason and we are not harming any of your rights and interests. If we use your information for a reason other than to supply or receive goods/services, and it is not because we are legally required to do so, then we generally do this on the basis of our legitimate business interest. Before doing this, though, we will always carefully consider and balance any potential impact on you and your rights.

Legitimate interests means the interests of our company in conducting and managing our business, to enable us to give you the best services and products. When we process your personal information for our legitimate interests we ensure that we consider and balance any potential impact on you (both positive and negative), and your rights under the Legislation with our business objectives. Our legitimate business interests do not automatically override your interests. We will not use your personal data for activities where our interests are overridden by the impact on you (unless we have your consent) or are otherwise, required or permitted by law.
