Can't get enough of those ghosts!

Friday 31st October 2014 not only saw the UK basked in the warmest Halloween on record with temperatures souring to the 20s, but for many the busiest commercially on record too. We Brits have been behind the USA in enthusiasm for this annual festival, but have certainly caught on with all bells ringing. The scale of Halloween has grown beyond a few children 'trick or treating' door to door, with adults of all ages dressing up and partying the entire weekend - great news for retailers who saw Halloween stock literally flying of their shelves on broomsticks!

Visitors to Harrogate Christmas & Gift in recent years will have noticed the steady increase in Halloween ranges at the show and will be spoilt for choice when looking for some exciting ghoulish products in 2015 - don't miss Floralsilk on Stand B1, Gisella Graham on Stand M14-16, Heaven Sends on C37 and Premier Decorations in H1.

Premier's new 'Christmas Stories' for 2015

One of the main attractions on the Premier Decorations stand at Harrogate Christmas & Gift 2015 will be a truly innovative collection of new themed ranges that Premier believe will introduce the theatre of Christmas across not only Tree Trim but also Table and Room Decorations and Glass Ornaments.

A new Buyer, with over 20 years experience in this area, has recently joined the Premier team and as a result a new emphasis has been applied to sourcing new design led product that appeals specifically to the British and Irish market.

Featuring more unique designs than ever before, each of the eight new themes has its own specific colour palettes to help customers create their very own Christmas Stories in store. They range from Traditional to Contemporary, with one even being described as Traditional, with a twist! The ultimate aim is to inspire customers to create their own interpretation of each stunning collection.

One of the first opportunities to view these exciting new ranges alongside their inspirational displays, will in the Premier Decorations Hall H from January 11th to the 14th.

Gearing up for the festive event of the year

Companies in the gift industry are already gearing up for one of the most important calendar events of the year, particularly those in festive and garden sectors, with Harrogate Christmas & Gift reporting very little space left for the January 2015 show.

Simon Anslow, show organiser, comments: "With the rapid increase in visitor numbers in recent years, the show's reputation has escalated and we are not only seeing the return of previous exhibitors each year, but continue to attract new companies from around the world. Apart from a few stand spaces still available in Halls B and C, we are almost full booked, so companies sitting on the fence as to whether to join us in January will be very disappointed if they leave it much longer before confirming their space."

For the first time, Harrogate Christmas & Gift has appointed MICE Concierge as the official accommodation bureau for the show and both exhibitors and visitors can save considerable time and money by using its friendly service. The company can not only arrange airport shuttles between Leeds Bradford airport and Harrogate, but can recommend local restaurants and offers heavily discounted hotel rates. For example, rooms at the Cairn Hotel and The St George Hotel which are both just a hop away from the Harrogate International Centre are just £49 per night.

You can access MICE Concierges exclusive rates online at www.miceconcierge.com, email the team on hello@miceconcierge.com or call them on (01438) 908777.

Harrogate Christmas & Gift takes place at the Harrogate International Centre from 11th to 14th January 2015.

The future is looking bright

Harrogate Christmas & Gift 2014 finished on an absolute high this year with a significant increase in visitor numbers, an atmosphere of positivity and an overall consensus that the recession is finally behind us.

The halls of the Harrogate International Centre were packed with buyers for the entire duration of the show and figures confirm that overall unique visitor numbers for extent of the four days were up almost 12 percent on last year and 16 percent in total. This indicates that not only were there many new buyers attending, but they were staying for longer spreading their visit out over two or three days.

Show organiser, Simon Anslow, comments: "It was obvious from the moment the doors opened on the first day of Harrogate Christmas & Gift that 2014 was going to be a busy show. Visitors were literally queuing to get in and the halls remained packed for pretty much the entire duration. The majority of exhibitors have confirmed that business was brisk and reported that there was a notable upturn in buying attitude. Retailers came in with open minds and open order books and are now fully stocked for next Christmas - and in fact the entire year ahead."

Harrogate Christmas & Gift 2015 takes place from 11th - 14th January 2015 - exhibitor bookings open on 1st May 2014. For more information visit the website at www.harrogatefair.com
